Overview

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Operative for our customer based in Hayes, a leading Building materials supplier.

TEMP TO PERM 4 WEEKS - Permanent contract if successful
£14.37 incl. Holiday pay / £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities

• Working in a very busy warehouse, the successful candidate will assist in the loading and offloading of goods on/off lorries and in/out of the Warehouse whilst also assisting with other warehouse related duties, including working in an outside yard.
• Safely transporting orders loading & offloading including large bags of aggregates, sand & cement using a Counterbalance Forklift
• Keeping the warehouse and yard tidy and hazard free
• Handle all goods with care and attention
• General warehouse duties included
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm (45 hours per week) with a 1 hour break

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence for a minimum of 1 year
• At least 6 months minimum experience as Counterbalance Forklift Operative in a builders merchants
• You must be over the age of 21 years
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Applicants must also have a very good command of both verbal and written English
• Familiarity with warehouse regulations and safety standards
