A leading energy services company in the UK is seeking a Cost Estimator to support engineering and project management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project cost estimation, particularly within the oil and gas sector, and must have a degree in engineering or a related field. Your role will involve evaluating cost data, reviewing contractor estimates, and providing forecasts necessary for effective project delivery. This role offers an annual salary of approximately £62,503.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, preferably with Aramco projects.
• Experience in managing EPC contractor cost estimation deliverables.
• Proficiency in evaluating cost estimation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and forecast project costs for major projects.
• Conduct change order review and assess cost impact.
• Provide cost estimation assurance and validation support.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• Experience in project cost estimation for engineering, procurement and construction for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects. Capable of evaluating and consulting on project cost estimation and forecasting issues and problems.
• Provide cost estimation assurance and review of EPC contractor cost and estimating deliverables.
• Evaluate cost bases, man-hour estimates, equipment pricing, and contingency assessments.
• Review contractor cost estimation methodologies for compliance with PMS and Client standards.
• Support benchmarking and validation of cost data to ensure accuracy and consistency across project phases.
• Participate in risk analysis, cost forecasting, and CAPEX development.
• Review change orders and assess cost impact.
• Support PMS management in the preparation of independent cost estimates for validation and decision support.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering /Quantity Surveying/Administration/Business or Equivalent closely related field. or Diploma or Equivalent with a Certificate from a recognized agency in one or more areas of project cost estimation related expertise.

Years of Experience

Eight (8) years of experience in Oil & Gas. Aramco project experience is a must.
