Location: SE1, London

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £13.85 per hour (London Living Wage)

About the Role

Mitie is proud to work in partnership with the London Fire Brigade, delivering high-quality facilities management services that help keep London's critical services running smoothly. We are now looking for a professional, welcoming, and proactive Corporate Receptionist to join our on-site team.

As the first point of contact for staff, visitors, contractors, and stakeholders, you will represent both Mitie and the London Fire Brigade to the highest standard. You\'ll play a key role in ensuring a professional and efficient front-of-house experience, maintaining a safe, secure, and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm, courteous, and professional welcome to all visitors and staff.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is always clean, organised, and presentable.
  • Maintain visitor logs, issue passes, and enforce security protocols where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including property, security, and senior management.
  • Manage bookings for meeting rooms and ensure spaces are prepared as required.
  • Support with administrative tasks and other duties as required by the Soft Services Manager or Building Manager.
  • Undertake Fire Warden Duties in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Act in accordance with all health and safety and security policies.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or customer service role.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, approachable attitude.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • SIA Door Supervisor license is essential.
