Overview

We are looking to appoint a Corporate Projects and Sustainability Manager post to lead our approach to the climate agenda in Blackpool.

Home to national icons and a regeneration programme supported by public and private investment. The Council is committed to becoming carbon neutral and leading the town towards the same goal.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate internal systems to maximise the organisation’s focus on sustainability.
  • Develop and manage projects to decrease the Council’s carbon footprint and readiness for climate change.
  • Liaise with internal services and external providers to ensure reliable facilities contributing to a fair transition to a low carbon transport system.
  • Manage a small team initially, including a Corporate Projects and Sustainability Officer, Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Delivery Project Manager, and a Graduate Climate Action Officer, with potential for further growth dependent on funding bids.
