Cook Supervisor

30 hours per week, Part Time

Permanent

Term Time + 1 week, 44.67 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Cook Supervisor to join Cidari Multi Academy Trust and play a key role in the delivery of a high quality, compliant and efficient school catering service.

Based within St George's Church of England Secondary Academy, you will be responsible for supervising the day to day operations of the kitchen, supporting food preparation and service, overseeing standards of hygiene and food safety, and guiding the catering team to deliver a positive dining experience for pupils and staff. You will work closely with the Catering and Hospitality Group Manager to ensure menus are delivered to standard, costs are controlled, and legislative requirements are fully met.

This is a hands on role that requires strong organisational skills, a good understanding of school catering standards, and the ability to lead and motivate others. It is well suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast paced environment, and understands the importance of a well run catering provision in supporting the school day.

The right candidate will have:
  • A recognised and relevant qualification in catering or hospitality at Level 4 or equivalent
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
  • A proven ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple sites
  • A high level of communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to use relevant technology and catering systems
  • A can-do attitude and strong customer service ethos
  • A commitment to the health, wellbeing and positive experience of pupils through the catering provision
