Conveyancing Solicitor / Fee Earner – Wakefield

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Profit Share

Work: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role

CRA Consulting are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded West Yorkshire law firm that is expanding its busy Conveyancing Department to meet continued high demand. With a strong reputation locally – including outstanding client reviews and high levels of repeat and referral business – this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to join a thriving, supportive team.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, working with autonomy and initiative while also contributing to the growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full caseload of 25-30 conveyancing files per month, from instruction through to post-completion.
  • Deliver excellent client care, ensuring clear communication and timely progression of matters.
  • Utilise Infotrack for onboarding, due diligence, searches, and reporting.
  • Accurately maintain files using the firm's Google Workspace-based file management system.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department, support staff, and wider team.
  • Contribute to the department's reputation and client development initiatives.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with 4+ years' PQE.
  • Able to run a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-sufficient, highly motivated, and organised.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Confident in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
Job Details
  • Location: Wakefield (WF1) - central location with plentiful nearby parking (approx. £5/day).
  • Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am-5:15pm with 1-hour lunch).
  • Dress Code: Smart casual.
  • Technology: Latest Apple devices with MacOS, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace (training provided).
