Role

Control Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer | Brighter Foods X THG Manufacturing

Shift: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Location: Tywyn, Wales

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Brighter Foods X THG Manufacturing. This role will be responsible for our new automated factory and will design, programme and test the automated machinery to be able to complete exact tasks.

You will have the ability to interrogate PLCs to fault find. Work on and improve line logic within the process. This role also requires developing others within the team to meet the business needs of a 24/7 production site.

Whilst a Monday to Friday role there will be a level of out of hours support. A strong electrical background is required to assist in some day to day electrical breakdowns and faults.

Key Responsibilities

What we are looking for
  • Experience in working within an FMCG business, with automated machinery.
  • Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SQL, Python, and Java
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
