Contracts / Repairs Manager (Social Housing / Maintenance)
We're recruiting on behalf of a reputable client for an experienced Contracts / Repairs Manager to oversee responsive repairs, voids and maintenance services. The role offers a great opportunity to lead a busy team and make a real impact on service quality for residents.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day delivery of repairs, void refurbishments and planned works.
- Lead a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of work and strong performance.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation and job progression to meet KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, to spec, and in line with compliance and health & safety standards.
- Carry out inspections, sign-offs and quality checks.
- Manage budgets, costs, variations and reporting.
- Maintain clear communication with tenants, clients and internal teams.
Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 4 or HNC in a building-related field (or be working towards it).
- Previous experience at Supervisory or Management level.
- Strong experience within social housing repairs / maintenance (voids or responsive / reactive).
- Effective performance management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, including monitoring and reporting.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
