Contracts / Repairs Manager (Social Housing / Maintenance)

We're recruiting on behalf of a reputable client for an experienced Contracts / Repairs Manager to oversee responsive repairs, voids and maintenance services. The role offers a great opportunity to lead a busy team and make a real impact on service quality for residents.

The Role
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of repairs, void refurbishments and planned works.
  • Lead a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of work and strong performance.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation and job progression to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, to spec, and in line with compliance and health & safety standards.
  • Carry out inspections, sign-offs and quality checks.
  • Manage budgets, costs, variations and reporting.
  • Maintain clear communication with tenants, clients and internal teams.
Essential Criteria
  • NVQ Level 4 or HNC in a building-related field (or be working towards it).
  • Previous experience at Supervisory or Management level.
  • Strong experience within social housing repairs / maintenance (voids or responsive / reactive).
  • Effective performance management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, including monitoring and reporting.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.

  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of compliance.
