Contracts Manager – Fire Protection Projects
London Bridge (with travel to sites) | Full-Time

A long-established and rapidly expanding specialist contractor in passive fire protection is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of high-value fire safety projects across London and the South East. With over 30 years of industry experience, this organisation is known for its technical expertise, commitment to innovation, and role in shaping the future of fire safety in the built environment.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of fire protection contracts - from planning and procurement to delivery and client satisfaction. You’ll lead site teams, manage commercial performance, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Planning and programming projects to avoid delays
  • Overseeing procurement and reconciliation of materials
  • Managing subcontractor engagement and commercial forecasting
  • Mentoring project managers and supervisors
  • Leading client meetings and reporting on progress
  • Ensuring risk management and safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Promoting service excellence and teamwork across departments
About You

You’re a confident, detail-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to get the best out of your team.

Essential experience
  • Proven track record managing multiple construction projects (ideally in passive fire protection)
  • Strong understanding of contract conditions, regulations, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SharePoint
  • Ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and meet tight deadlines
Desirable
  • Familiarity with OneTrace software
  • Knowledge of industry trends and fire safety regulations
