Contracts Manager Aerospace & Defence (APAC Focus)

Location: Denham Campus Hybrid working after 6 months

Our client, a leading British engineering company in the aerospace and defence sector, is looking for a Contracts Manager to take ownership of high-profile accounts across the Indian and wider APAC markets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with contracts or commercial experience in aerospace/defence to step up into a broader, international-facing role with significant career development potential.

The Role

You ll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring effective contract administration, commercial governance, and strong customer relationships. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you ll be involved in complex bids and negotiations, helping to shape long-term partnerships in a key growth region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing bids, proposals, pricing structures, and contract terms.
  • Supporting and leading complex negotiations with customers across India/APAC.
  • Ensuring robust contract administration and compliance.
  • Building and maintaining senior-level customer relationships.
  • Leading and developing a small contracts team.
  • Supporting occasional UK and international travel.
Candidate Profile

We re looking for someone who can bring:

  • Solid experience in contracts or commercial management within aerospace/defence.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, contract structures, bid management, pricing, export controls, and shipping terms.
  • Experience working with customers in the Indian/APAC market (or strong international exposure).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust at senior level.
  • Leadership potential either proven people management experience or readiness to take on that responsibility.
  • High attention to detail with a commercial mindset.
