Contracts Analyst – 36 MONTHS SECONDMENT CONTRACT

Job Purpose
Assists the Contracts Head and Leads in the coordination of all post‑award activities, including the preparation of formal correspondences (letters), change orders, variations, claims, insurance & guarantees administration, and arranging, recording and minuting bi‑weekly Contracts/Change Meetings.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to: NFXP Offshore Head of Contracts.
- Direct reports: None.
- Frequent contact with QatarEnergy LNG NFXP Offshore Projects Management Team.
- Periodic contact with QatarEnergy LNG Major Projects Team.
- Frequent contact with other QatarEnergy LNG departments and groups, e.g., Legal, Supply, EPCI/FEED/LLI Contract Representatives.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Assists the Contracts Head and Leads in the administration of NFXP Offshore EPCI Contracts for Topsides and Pipelines facilities.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Assists in the development of contracting scenarios to support effective Contracting Strategy workshops.
- Assists in the preparation of technical bid evaluation plans, procedures, and models for evaluating technical bids.
- Coordinates with contractors to ensure that terms of the contract are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.
- Supports the Contracts Lead in managing all post‑award activities, including the preparation of formal correspondences (letters), change orders, claims and insurance & guarantees administration.
- Supports the Contracts Lead in handling change orders, claims, and negotiations with EPC contractors and LLI suppliers, coordinating with the Supply and Legal departments as needed.
- Ensures that the contract registers (Contractual Correspondence, Change Management, Claims, Insurance & Guarantees, SDRs, etc.) are kept up‑to‑date at all times.
- Assists in reviewing and issuing contractual correspondence through Docusign.
- Arranges, records and minutes the bi‑weekly Contracts/Change Meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics or Statistics.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 6 years’ experience in a business‑related function or discipline, including 2 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub‑contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge in data and analytics, reporting, planning, scheduling, contracts, procurements, cost control, lesson learned and change management.
- Knowledge of international business standards, best practices and methodologies.
- Good knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g., dashboards, data analytics, SAP.
- Experience supporting large‑scale integrated operating and executing organisations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface.
Technical and Business Skills
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve complaints and concerns.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications.
