Job Title: Contract Specialist Location: HM Naval Base, Plymouth, PL1 4SG Role: Full Time Progression and Training offered. Here at Mitie we have a brand new opportunity for an organised and established Contract Specialist to play a key role in ensuring Mitie meets all their contractual obligations during the various transitions. You will be supporting the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth hand-back process for multiple contracts.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate contract hand-back and termination activities
  • Work with Mitie teams to ensure contract compliance and law is correct
  • Maintain hand-back programme and risk register
  • Ensure accurate documentation (O&M manuals, compliance certificates, maintenance logs)
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for regular updates on contract status etc.
  • Manage updates, risks, and dependencies across the exit lifecycle
What We're Looking For
  • Contract management experience, ideally including expiry/transition phases
  • Eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance
  • Understanding of PPP models, contract law, and lifecycle obligations
  • Project/programme management experience
  • Confident communicator
  • Ability to interpret technical and contractual documentation
  • Full UK driving licence
