The Role

As Content Security Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of DAZN’s streaming security architecture. Your expertise will help us maintain world-class content protection standards, ensuring fans enjoy seamless access while rights holders have confidence in our platform. You’ll be responsible for integrating DRM systems, securing media protocols, deploying anti-piracy measures, and shaping DAZN’s approach to video security. This role demands a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical skills, as you’ll be expected to both define long-term frameworks and respond quickly to emerging threats. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle, from design through to delivery. Your leadership in this space will be pivotal in ensuring DAZN continues to set the benchmark for safe, secure, and reliable sports streaming worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Implement and manage DRM systems (e.g., Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) across web, mobile, smart TV, and connected devices.
• Design and monitor secure media delivery using protocols such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, and CMAF.
• Deploy watermarking, token-based authentication, and forensic tracking tools to combat piracy.
• Ensure robust encryption, access control, and secure key management for all streaming assets.
• Monitor streaming environments for anomalies, leading incident response and coordinating with internal and external teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, studio requirements).
• Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and legal to integrate security best practices.
• Build automation tools for monitoring, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in video streaming security or content protection.
• Expertise in DRM systems and secure video delivery at scale.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, tokenization, secure key exchange, and TLS.
• Familiarity with CDNs, media servers, and edge security techniques.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and media services (MediaConvert, CloudFront).
• Proficiency with security tools (Burp Suite, Wireshark, Snyk) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CCSP are desirable.
• Experience working with studios, OTT platforms, or live sports streaming.
• Knowledge of watermarking vendors (e.g., NAGRA, Verimatrix) and anti-piracy ecosystems.
• Familiarity with microservices security and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
