PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Product Content Lead is responsible for shaping and managing the content strategy for products within the organisation. The aim of the role is to ensure that all product-related content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with both commercial objectives and customer needs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and oversee content plans that support product launches, updates, and ongoing communications.
  • Work closely with communications, commercial, and other teams to ensure content consistency and relevance.
  • Ensure all product content meets company standards, regulatory requirements, and supports the brand's voice.
  • Ensure all product-related content is factually correct, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.
  • Align content with business goals to drive product awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Create content that is engaging and tailored to customer needs, improving satisfaction and retention.
  • Regularly review and refine content strategies and processes to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Previous experience of working with SMEs with turnover between £20‑£100M is desirable.
  • Ability to develop and oversee content plans that support product launches, updates, and ongoing communications.
  • Strong skills in working cross‑functionally with communications, commercial, and product teams to ensure content consistency and relevance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards for content quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Skill in tailoring content to address customer needs, drive engagement, and support service excellence.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and internal policies to ensure content compliance and minimise risk.
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, and managing product‑related materials.
  • Ability to monitor and analyse the effectiveness of product content and recommend improvements.
