Location: Cambridge (CB3)

Duration: Temporary with a view to go permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £13 - £16 per hour depending on experience

Polytec are looking for a skilled Laboratory / Assembly Technician to join our Cambridge based client as they enter an exciting new phase in the production of their scientific instrument. This role requires candidates with excellent attention to detail, good dexterity and a desire to ensure the products leave the lab to the specified standards.

Responsibilities
  • Follow strict SOPs to produce consumable sensors for both internal and external customers
  • Working with reagents including pipetting, preparing external kits, dispensing and ensuring correct disposal
  • Fulfilling customer orders of reagents and consumables
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lab and production line
  • Follow H&S procedures diligently
Requirements
  • 2+ years experience in precision assembly within a cleanroom environment
  • Knowledge of microfluidics, optics or surface coating would be an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to complete repetitive tasks following strict SOPs
