Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a Consultant Radiologist with interest in Head and Neck Radiology. Responsibilities

• Proficient in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional head and neck radiology, including reporting of plain film, US, CT and MRI.
• Other subspecialty reporting skills and interventional procedures (e.g., FNA and core biopsy) would be an advantage.
• Support for general radiology across elective, on‑call and acute work.
• Support the general diagnostic on‑call rota.
• Carry out any other duties necessary for the successful performance of the role, commensurate with the grade.

Qualifications

• Essential: On GMC's Specialist Register or be no more than six months from receiving CCT at interview date.
• Essential: FRCR or equivalent higher qualification from a different College or from overseas.
• Desirable: Fellowship.
• Desirable: Advanced or further degrees.
• Desirable: Medical or post‑graduate prizes.

Experience

• Essential: Experience in general radiology and subspecialty training head and neck imaging post FRCR 2B.
• Essential: Experience in head and neck intervention e.g. FNA and core biopsy.
• Essential: Confident with Information Technology.
• Desirable: Knowledge of a wide range of educational methods.
• Desirable: Managerial skills.

Training

• Essential: In General Radiology (CT, MR, US, Plain Films, Fluoroscopy) with appropriate sub‑specialist training.
