Title: Consultant R&D Tax (Food)

Office location: 88 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A 3BP

Reports to: Innovation Management

Working hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, dependent on client demands.

Experience and requirements

We seek candidates with an advanced degree, preferably a Masters or PhD, in one of the fields below:

• Food Sciences
• Formulation Sciences
• Food Manufacturing
• Food Innovation
• Food Science and Nutrition

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in product development or a food science / technical role. We are particularly interested in those looking to transition their skills and expertise into an exciting career in consulting.

Additionally, we welcome applications from R&D Tax Consultants with a background in Food Science or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Client-facing: Building client relationships throughout the sales and production process. This includes regular correspondence for claim-related information and liaising directly with government task authorities on their behalf.
• Subject matter expert: A technical understanding of your specialism, with working knowledge of consulting processes.
• Report and claim management: Support in creating structured claim reports, R&D project descriptions and justifications, and claims adjustments based on determined tax liability.
• Aware and informed: Well-versed in current affairs and innovative development across key global sectors.

• Dependable: You align with client needs, adhere to reporting methodology, and collaborate among team members on projects and rationales.
• Critical thinker: Able to research, investigate, and solve problems using available resources.
