Overview

A Vacancy at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) in the Garden of England. We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join KMPT to provide mental health and learning disability services to a diverse population in Kent and Medway.

KMPT places a strong emphasis on medical leadership and offers leadership development and growth opportunities across grades. Our medical workforce values staff leadership, engagement, and participation in shaping service development and delivery decisions.

This is a 10 PA post plus 0.5 PA and 3% Category A availability on-call supplement. Part time or job-share applications are welcome.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mental health and learning disability services to the population of Kent and Medway.
  • Work as part of KMPT’s medical leadership and contribute to service development and delivery decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and integrate care within KMPT and with partners, including academic collaborations with Kent and Medway Medical School.
  • Maintain professional standards, lead in clinical governance, and participate in research, education, and quality improvement as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
  • On, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register.
  • Fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.
