Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Salary Scale - £111,430- £148,064 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Looking for a new and exciting challenge? Then think about working in NHS Forth Valley in the heart of Scotland.

This is a replacement post to enhance our consultant workforce. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with skills complementary to existing consultant’s interests, but with the ability to significantly contribute to a weekly fetal medicine list that can include amniocentesis and high risk antenatal care, a special interest in diabetes antenatal care would be welcomed. It is expected the successful applicant will contribute to emergency gynaecology OOH at the present time. The obstetric component will also include taking part in the on call rota. The Clinical Director and Service manager would want the candidate to be involved in projects and audits to maintain the safe provision of care within maternity services eg SPSP and HIS

Within this post the successful candidate would be expected to participate in the out of hours rota. The rota is designed to provide two flexible tiers of medical cover and increased consultant presence provide acute obstetrics and gynaecology care. The job plan consists of ten programmed activities.
