A leading NHS trust in the UK seeks a talented individual for a full-time position in the Lysholm Department of Neuroradiology. Candidates must hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or close to obtaining their CCT in Clinical Radiology. Responsibilities include supporting diagnostic neuroradiology workload in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. Applications are invited for a full‑time position in The Lysholm Department of Neuroradiology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our friendly multidisciplinary team to support the delivery diagnostic neuroradiology workload in one of London’s premiere Teaching Hospital Trusts. A recognised fellowship or appropriate consultant experience in diagnostic neuroradiology is a prerequisite. Experience or an interest in neuro paediatric and neuro‑muscular radiology is desirable but not essential.
You will join a team of 21 adult diagnostic neuroradiologists and 7 adult neurointerventional neuroradiologists, fully supported by a thriving and friendly department which has seen significant redevelopment within the past two years. A new dual‑energy CT scanner has just been installed as part of a major refurbishment project which also included two new biplane angiography rooms. Replacement of a 1.5T MR and two replacement 3T MR systems with a new interventional MRI suite supporting the delivery of Gamma Knife surgery on site.
UCL is currently redeveloping the former Eastman Dental Hospital site on Gray’s Inn Road into a new centre of excellence for neuroscience. The new facility will have a shared MRI unit between UCLH and UCL, with five new state‑of‑the‑art MRI scanners. This will provide additional MR capacity for Queen Square patients and be located in the basement of the building which is due to open in 2028.
Candidates must hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining their CCT/CESR in Clinical Radiology by the time of starting in the post. Essential qualifications for this post include at least 18 months subspecialty training in neuroradiology in a recognised centre. The post is offered on a whole‑time basis (10 Programmed Activities, on‑call 1 in 13 for diagnostic neuroradiology.) Applications for a part‑time appointment will be considered.
