  • Provide evidence‑based care and adopt a recovery‑focused approach.
  • Provide cross‑cover (emergency and prospective) for other Consultant Psychiatrist colleagues by mutual agreement.
  • Communicate with all key partners in an appropriate and timely way, including service users, carers and General Practitioners.
  • Work within the requirements of service contracts, including compliance with nationally agreed quality standards.
  • Fully utilise Trust IT systems, including electronic prescribing, to fulfil clinical duties.
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours duties; on‑call work is remunerated at 3 % availability supplement and 0.25 APA.
  • Take part in an approx. 1:23 on‑call rota for Staffordshire, covering both adult and older‑adult psychiatry on the St George’s site and community cover for emergencies across South Staffordshire.

  • Up to 27 days annual leave (increasing with service up to 33 days)
