Consultant Ecologist – East England

Responsibilities
  • Deliver ecology consultancy services to existing and new projects, providing ecology support to pollution emergency response.
  • Work with an established and experienced team to apply practical ecological knowledge across project work.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in a biological or environmental sciences discipline, with experience in an ecological consultancy.
  • Solid understanding of the principles and practice of key ecological field surveys and wildlife legislation.
  • Strong IT skills, with ability to deliver high-quality communications and possess excellent analytical and numeric skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills; working toward or holding a professional accreditation and protected species licences.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence; flexibility to travel and work hours depending on project locations; prepared to work in inclement weather and outside normal hours.
  • Knowledge of aquatic environment legislation and its implementation, particularly the Water Framework Directive, would be advantageous.
