Job Description

Construction Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Supervisor to join a local authority in South Wales working on a remedial and protective works scheme.

Main duties of the Construction Supervisor:
  1. Oversee day-to-day site operations for remedial and protective works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  2. Supervise installation of cliff stabilisation systems, particularly active mesh systems, soil nails, and rock anchors.
  3. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
  4. Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans for high-risk activities.
Key experience required:
  • Proven experience supervising remedial and protective construction works in challenging terrains and coastal or cliffside environments.
  • Ideally, a background in cliff stabilisation techniques, including installation of active mesh systems, rockfall netting, soil nailing, and anchoring solutions.
