Job description

Overview

Working with our operations and scheme delivery teams, you'll support on-site delivery in the construction phase of our projects. You will also learn how we manage the performance on-site of our internal maintenance and response teams and specialist supply chain contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of highway construction and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or delays.
• Support the preparation of site documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
• Learn and apply best practices in highway construction and maintenance.

Training

As part of your apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Construction Site Supervisor level 4 apprenticeship. You will be fully supported by our partnered training provider to achieve this qualification, having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.

GCSEs at grade C or 4 including mathematics, English and science, or equivalent.

DBS requirement.
