Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing is seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our customer's high-performing in-house legal team. This requires someone confident operating independently, with strong contentious construction experience and exposure to commercial property matters.

Location : London (3 days per week in the office)

Start Date : ASAP

Contract : 15 months

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in contentious construction law.
• Exposure to commercial property matters (in-house experience strongly preferred).
• Ability to work independently and provide clear, pragmatic advice.
• Comfortable operating in a small team with senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, practical, and willing to “roll up your sleeves.”
• Availability to start immediately or before year-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on contentious construction matters, providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
• Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision, acting as the primary construction law specialist.
• Support senior stakeholders across the organisation on construction disputes, contract issues, and related property matters.
• Work closely with internal teams to provide clear, decisive guidance and help drive efficient resolution of issues.
• Contribute proactively within a lean legal function, taking a hands-on approach and offering robust, well-reasoned views.
• Assist with knowledge sharing and handover processes with the existing legal team.
