Overview

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join our secondary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, aspiring teacher, or someone with strong ICT/Computer Science knowledge who is interested in gaining valuable classroom experience. Beginning September 2025.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver pre-prepared lessons in Computer Science and ICT when teachers are absent.
• Maintain a positive and focused learning environment in line with school policies.
• Support students with tasks, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage pupil engagement.
• Provide additional support in Computer Science lessons, such as assisting with coding and ICT-based activities.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including supporting extra-curricular clubs where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate

• QTS
• A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related subject (or strong subject knowledge/experience).
• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (desirable).
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills as Computer Science Teacher.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching is advantageous.
