Supply Desk is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit a passionate Computer Science Teacher. The role begins in October 2025 on a full-time, long-term basis until December 2025, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
You'll teach Computer Science at Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a supportive and forward-thinking Computing department. Both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply. The school is also open to candidates with relevant teaching experience who may not hold QTS but have a strong background in computing.
Deliver engaging and inclusive Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach key topics including programming, algorithms, systems architecture, and digital literacy.
Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental activities.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive classroom environment.
Participate in school-wide events and enrichment activities.
Mixed 11-16 secondary school in Basingstoke.
Rated 'Good' by Ofsted with a strong focus on academic progress and pastoral care.
Well-equipped ICT facilities and a culture of digital innovation.
Supportive senior leadership and excellent transport links.
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (essential).
QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
Experience teaching Computer Science at KS3/KS4 level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for computing and student development.
