Job description
Compliance Monitoring Officer

Do you have Compliance Monitoring or Risk experience in an FCA-regulated environment, and a passion for improving processes, protecting customers, and driving better outcomes? If so, this is your opportunity to join a business where compliance is truly valued!

At Zenith, we have been at the forefront of the transition to sustainable vehicle solutions for over 30 years. As the UK's largest independent vehicle solutions provider, we are proud of our people, our award-winning service, and our bold ambitions to make mobility smarter, greener, and better for everyone.

Within our regulated Consumer division, which includes our digital personal contract hire brand Zen Auto and our expanding White Label B2B2C partnerships, compliance plays a central role. We work side-by-side with operational teams, building trusted relationships that help the business do the right thing for customers and meet FCA regulations.

We're looking for a Compliance Monitoring Officer to join our small but influential team. This hands-on role gives you the autonomy to help shape and deliver our Compliance Monitoring Plan, complete independent reviews, and partner with the business to strengthen controls and deliver fair customer outcomes.

Your Role & Impact

As a Compliance Monitoring Officer, you'll make a real difference as part of a small, trusted team. You'll manage all areas of compliance monitoring activities and be empowered to complete reviews independently. You'll be hands-on with operations, ensuring processes meet regulatory standards while strengthening relationships as a true compliance partner. Our operations teams value compliance, and you'll play a key role in maintaining that trust and collaboration.

What You'll Do
  • Carry out monitoring reviews across consumer operations (sales, collections, customer service).
  • Assess adherence to FCA, CCA, GDPR, Consumer Duty, and internal policies.
  • Review customer communications, credit agreements, complaints handling, and call recordings.
  • Identify risks and make clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Support the design of the Compliance Monitoring Plan by collaborating with teams and understanding business processes.
  • Track remediation actions to completion and provide assurance to management.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure these are reflected in monitoring activities.
About You

You will have experience in compliance monitoring or risk within a regulated environment (financial services, consumer credit, or similar). You'll bring:

  • Knowledge of FCA rules (particularly CONC and DISP) and UK legislation (Consumer Credit Act, GDPR).
  • Excellent communication skills – able to explain issues clearly and build trust.
  • Relationship management skills – collaborative and confident engaging with stakeholders.
  • A curious, analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and adapting to new systems and processes.
Why Join Zenith?
