Overview

Northampton/Corby

Compliance Manager role available with Tollers LLP, a Lexcel accredited law firm employing over 130 staff, based in the counties of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire. We aim to be a premier provider of legal services to the business community and to our private clients.

We have a vacancy for a Compliance Manager based in our Northampton/Corby office.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have an understanding of the rules & regulations governing legal practice.

Responsibilities
  • SRA Handbook & the Code of Conduct;
  • Anti-Money Laundering;
  • Data Protection;
  • Risk Assessment;
  • Training all staff on risk & compliance updates;
  • Day-to-day focus on regulatory risk & compliance as set out by the SRA;
  • Induction & training for new employees on mandatory risk & compliance;
  • Renewal of 'Practising Certificates';
  • Health & Safety;
  • Legal 500;
  • Supporting the COLP & COFA;
  • Filing of Annual Returns & all other Companies House Registrations;
  • Ensuring the file reviews are completed;
  • Management & maintenance of a risk & compliance policy & register;
  • Assisting in auditing & updating of the company staff handbook.

This role is crucial to the success of our experienced team who have a demanding workload. This means that you must be able to handle pressure and be able to prioritise your daily workload.

Additional requirements
  • Previous experience in a compliance environment is essential;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines;
  • Professional telephone manner, coupled with strong interpersonal skills;
