Job Description

This senior management role is central to maintaining governance and compliance excellence across the site. You will oversee audits, performance monitoring, and reporting processes to ensure ISS meets all legal and contractual obligations while supporting operational teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality services.

Acting as a key link between ISS, the NHS Trust, and Project Co, you’ll safeguard service quality, drive continuous improvement, and foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, legislative, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead internal audits and ensure findings are reported and resolved promptly.
  • Oversee the Performance Management System (PMS) and monitor service delivery performance.
  • Manage Helpdesk reporting and drive corrective or preventative actions where required.
  • Prepare monthly compliance reports and maintain accurate evidence using Teams and SharePoint.
  • Ensure adherence to ISS systems, policies, and audit standards.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, compliant working environment.
  • Support HR, Training, and People & Culture functions on compliance and governance matters.
  • Act as the key point of contact for compliance queries and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Deputise for the Key Account Manager and champion a culture of accountability and improvement.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in contractual, statutory, and legislative compliance, ideally within a PFI healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience in auditing, performance monitoring, and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex data, identify risks, and implement solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and performance management tools.
  • Skilled in communication, influencing, and conflict resolution, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and client representatives.
  • Demonstrates leadership, integrity, and organisational ability with a focus on continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Degree or professional qualification in Business, Finance, Health & Safety, Facilities Management, or Compliance.
  • Professional auditing or quality management certifications (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Internal Auditor) - desirable.
  • Health & Safety or Food Safety qualifications - advantageous for healthcare environments.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in compliance, contract management, or NHS standards is beneficial.
