Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.

Our team in Leeds, West Yorkshire are looking for a Compliance Analyst. This is a flexible, hybrid working role, giving you the work-life balance to work from home 2 days and from the office 3 days.

We are looking for a professional experienced in compliance, audit or risk management to co-ordinate and support compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements across our global business.

The role is for an organised, self-motivated person who can work collaboratively with stakeholders across different functions and regions. You will need to have a genuine interest in building an in-depth understanding of PCI compliance requirements and how they relate to Farnell’s systems, to ensure payment card information is received, stored, and transmitted securely.

The role is primarily focused on supporting Farnell global with PCI compliance and embedding the right systems and processes to ensure compliance is maintained on an ongoing basis. As times goes on it is expected the Compliance Analyst will be involved in a wider range of business projects with opportunities for further development.

  • Track record of establishing a compliance framework, managing control owners and the production of reporting on the status of the control environment
  • Experience of being able to learn about complex different systems and interpret how compliance requirements apply to them
  • Ability to find solutions that balance maintaining compliance with business efficiency
  • Experience of working with internal and external audit teams to deliver successful outcomes, with any control issues addressed and resolved on a timely basis
  • Awareness of PCI compliance and its importance to Farnell as a global business
  • Experience of identifying new compliance requirements and delivering change to embed the necessary controls in business processes
We also require:
  • Bachelor’s degree/relevant professional certifications
  • 2-5 years experience in a compliance, audit or risk management role
  • Excellent attention to detail and investigative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
