Job description

As a Community Support Worker, you will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable people to participate in a range of activities, ensuring their needs are met and facilitating a friendly, safe and sociable environment.

• To organise activities that the person wants to engage in, such as Jewish activities, exercise and going for walks, play therapy including water play.
• To support with personal care needs
• To build opportunities and relationships in the local community
• To show people dignity and respect at all times
• To strive to always provide excellent care and individualised support

Qualifications

With NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care level 2, Care Certificate or equivalent experience, you must have a good standard of written English. Experience of working with adults with a learning disability is desirable but not essential. Understanding / awareness of or willingness to learn about Jewish culture is essential. Working Hours & Benefits

• Shift pattern (approx.) - Full time Monday 08:30 to 17:00 / Tuesday to Thursday 08:30 to 16:30 & Friday 08:30 to 13:00 or 16:00.
• Shift pattern; Part Time - Monday x 4.3hrs, Tuesday & Wednesday x5hr Friday x4 hours., 217.5 hours holiday per year (including bank holidays) which increases with length of service, pro rata for part time.
