Overview

Are you looking for a new challenge? We have a band 5 Community Staff Nurse opportunity within the Health Visiting service as part of Coventry's Family Health and Lifestyle services, supporting the Healthy Child Programme for 0-5 year olds.

Our integrated offer allows collaboration with Health Visiting, School Nursing, Infant Feeding, Stop Smoking in Pregnancy, Be Active Be Healthy, FNP and MAMTA. We work with Early Help and a wide network of external organisations to support families in Coventry. The service aims to provide a safe, effective and high quality service using research-based evidence and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Registered Nurse with an interest in working with children and progression to Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training.
  • Work within the Health Visiting service under the line management of the Health Visitor/Clinical Lead.
  • Hold a delegated caseload under supervision of the Health Visitor and other senior staff.
  • Collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other agencies to ensure high standards of care.
  • Support the team, department and organisation to achieve the Healthy Child Programme (Department of Health, 2021).
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme within a progressive universal model, in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies, adapting to assessed needs.
  • Work in partnership with partner agencies, both voluntary and statutory, to achieve good health outcomes for children and families.
Qualifications
  • Qualified nurse (Registered Nurse).
  • Interest in working with children and progression to Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training.
