Our busy District Nursing teams along the coast of sunny Bournemouth are looking for Band 5 community Staff Nurses to join their teams. Applicants can be newly qualified, or experienced, as full training, and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.

With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RGN.

We would welcome applications from newly qualified nurses and we provide a very comprehensive and fully supported Preceptionship Programme for newly qualified healthcare professionals. The role includes:

  • wound care
  • palliative care
  • IV drug administration
  • medication/ injection administration
  • diabetes management
  • many other diverse skills

To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.

To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary careteam.

To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care.

To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.

Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

We have both full and part time permanent vacancies available. There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata. Our late shift covers until 8pm.
