Job Overview

We are looking for Community Nurses to work in and around the St Ives / Hunts locality. You will be fully supported to gain new skills and experience needed to deliver high quality nursing care to patients in their own home or residential setting.

As a community nurse we will develop your wound care, palliative care and long‑term conditions knowledge and skills; supporting you to become an expert in assessment and care‑planning to deliver quality care that is caring and compassionate.

Personal requirements for the role include:
- You must be able to travel independently around the county, meeting strict time deadlines.
- You will need a full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.

You will not be able to use public transport for this role as it is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working in the community.
  • Educated to Registered General Nurse (RGN) level 2.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality care and service provision.
  • Able to work flexibly and as part of a team.
  • Able to assess and formulate care plans.
  • Able to teach and support student nurses and health care assistants.
  • Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Keep the patient at the centre of care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making.
  • Provide a high standard of care.
  • Provide a high standard of nursing intervention within a patient's own home, with access to specialist and advanced practitioners when required.
  • Work as part of a 24/7 service and multidisciplinary team.
