Community Health Worker with Health Visiting team. Public Health Nursing-Exeter Central team 22.5 hours per week. Other positions are available across Devon. Please see Public Health Nursing - Working for Devon | Devon County Council for more information.

Youll have a passion for working with children, a comprehensive understanding of childrens safeguarding and a knowledge of the Healthy Child Programmeand wider public health agenda.

Main duties of the job

UK Right to Work is required.If you have a QCF or equivalent qualification or NVQ 3 Foundation degree (Childcare related) or equivalent and would like to join a progressive, forward thinking and innovativePublic Health Nursing team; we would love to hear from you.The CommunityHealth Workersupports families withchildren aged 0-8 yearsby working with them individually or as part of a group in both community and home settings. Support is also offered virtually and via our front door hub.Community Health Workerssupport families with their childs development which includescarrying out the1 and 2 1/2 yeardevelopment review. Community Health Workers integrate with the Health Visitors, School Nurses and Staff Nursesto support with the whole family assessment; as well as supporting parents and carers with health promotion and development topics such as behaviour management, toilet training, sleep management and other targeted episodes of care as directed.The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the qualities in the person specification and job description and be committed to their on-going professional development to ensure quality in the delivery of care is maintained.
