You take pride in your work, whether it is assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments, or engaging in social activities. You are eager to develop your career through ongoing training, learning, and relevant qualifications.
As a member of our Specialist Care Support Team in Southampton, you will make a positive difference in an individual's life, helping them to meet their social, physical and emotional needs. You will support them in their daily routines, encourage them to pursue their passions and ensure they are able to be part of the local community. The role is flexible full‑time, offering long day shifts which may include weekdays and weekends. Candidates must hold a full, valid and clean driving licence.
Full, valid and clean driving licence. Experienced support worker with a passion for helping individuals with a variety of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, mental health and complex physical needs. Skilled in monitoring changes in mood, developing techniques to calm or de‑escalate situations and supporting individuals in a person‑centred way. Comfortable with animals in some cases.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, which will be obtained for you by SCA. You will receive a guaranteed hour contract, a competitive hourly rate, paid holiday (including bank holidays), a free branded workwear and lanyard, access to a free Blue Light Card, and an employer contributory pension scheme. Full training and comprehensive training package, including QCF qualification, are provided. The role offers flexible full‑time shifts with long day shifts that may include weekdays and weekends.
