Job summary

A regional health service provider seeks a Community CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to offer mental health assessments, build therapeutic relationships, and coordinate care for children and young people. Ideal candidates will be registered nurses or allied health professionals and must demonstrate experience in delivering evidence-based interventions. Flexible working patterns, including part-time and compressed hours, are available.

Qualifications

Overview

As a Community CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team offering consultation, assessment and evidence-based interventions to children and young people. This role is part of Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, which provides a comprehensive range of mental, learning disability, autism and community services across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Providing mental health assessments and formulations
  • Building therapeutic relationships with children and young people and delivering evidence-based interventions, including group treatment
  • Care co-ordinating an agreed caseload
  • Liaising with and offering consultation to other agencies
  • Participating in the duty rota
  • Contributing to all aspects of positive team functioning
  • Contributing to ongoing service innovations and development
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, degree in social work)
  • Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body (e.g. UKCP/BACP)
  • Must register for the DBS Update Service; annual fee £16 per year applies
  • DBS check required
