Overview

We are looking for people that can mobilise community activists to set-up and run their ideas for sustainable activities that would increase happiness amongst local older people and the wider community. To assist the set-up, you will offer support including advice and start up grants. Co-ordination will include recruitment, training, supervision and extensive interaction with community activists. Your role will make a real impact on the happiness of others. This role is partially funded by the National Lottery and will be fixed term until 1st March 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Mobilise community activists to set-up sustainable activities
  • Maintain strong networks with community groups in the areas BEA / OWLS serves
  • Support effective and efficient use of time, knowledge, skills, commitment and passion
  • Liaise with colleagues on the mobilisation of community activists

  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
