Job Description

Our client is a prominent environmental company that offers a variety of HVAC and water treatment services to clients across the UK. They are looking for an experienced and hard‑working Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Slough area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out validations and balancing air and water systems on a variety of contract types, including hospital sites. We welcome applications from Basingstoke, Woking, Guildford and other areas with good access to the London/M25 area.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience inspecting and balancing air and water systems.
  • Experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
  • Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems.
  • Ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports to commission systems correctly.
  • Good background in water treatment, chemicals, technical and maintenance.
  • Full knowledge of relevant health‑and‑safety and compliance legislation, specifically HTM‑0301 guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office package.
  • Good working knowledge of the water industry.
  • Experience in a water‑treatment commissioning role within the water‑treatment industry.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations.
  • Calibrate equipment to accurately balance water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health‑and‑safety legislation and company standards.
  • Carry out service work strictly in keeping with client specifications.
  • Conduct staff training when required.
  • Inspect project installs when required.
  • Produce reports and prepare quotations.
  • Undertake water‑treatment duties as required by business needs.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with the company’s clients.
