Responsibilities
  • Getting involved in the testing and integration of autonomous marine vessels
  • Powering up systems, calibrating sensors, and configuring communications
  • Troubleshooting commissioning issues and feeding ideas back into product improvements
  • Working closely with project teams and supporting customer handovers
  • Playing a key role in Factory, Harbour, and Sea Acceptance Testing (FAT, HAT & SAT)
Qualifications

Essential:

  • HNC in technology, engineering, or science (or equivalent experience)
  • Background in the marine industry
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator, confident working across different teams

Nice to have:

  • HND/Degree in a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of comms protocols (analogue/digital I/O, RS232/422/485, CANbus)
  • Hands-on experience with autonomous systems
  • Forklift licence
  • Organised, methodical approach and calm under pressure
