Job Title: Commercial Property Solicitor

Location: Cheltenham Hybrid 2 - 3 days in the office a week

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters with minimal supervision, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals.
  • Draft, negotiate, and complete commercial leases and related documentation, and advise landlords and tenants on rent reviews, break clauses, and dilapidation issues.
  • Carry out property due diligence, report on title and risk, and provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Regularly liaise with agents, lenders, surveyors, and other advisers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures.
  • Support junior team members and contribute to client relationship management and business development activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with ideally 5 years' post‑qualification experience in commercial property; less PQE considered if at least 5 years fee‑earning experience in commercial property.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK commercial property law.
  • Experience handling a broad range of commercial property transactions independently.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a client‑focused approach.
  • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and professionalism.
