Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Pricing Analyst to join the Private Care division at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This new role offers the chance to shape pricing strategy and contribute to the financial growth and sustainability of one of the UK’s most innovative NHS trusts.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality costing and pricing analysis, support contract negotiations with private medical insurers, and develop profitability models. You will maintain accurate billing systems, conduct benchmarking reviews, and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support decision-making and financial planning.

We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to present complex financial data clearly. You will work with colleagues across finance, business development and clinical teams, as well as with external partners including insurers and consultants. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • To support the provision of a high quality and comprehensive costing and pricing service within a large Private Patient Unit, offering timely appropriate advice and recommendations on costing methodology to the Private Patient division.
  • To support annual contract negotiations with insurers and to support the development of complex costing and profitability models.
  • To collect, process and manage a range of data and information used in the costing and profitability models.
  • To support the maintenance of the private care billing system, ensuring chargemasters are accurate for billing all private activities.
  • To calculate prices for inclusion within contracts where appropriate and undertake periodic benchmarking reviews across the private healthcare care market.
  • To ensure that a customer focused service of the highest possible standard is delivered to the Trust.
