Title - Commercial Manager

Location - London - with travel to Oxfordshire area

Galliford Try is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take full responsibility for all commercial aspects of the Thames Water AMP8 Framework. This is a strategic leadership role, ensuring compliance, governance, and commercial excellence across a major water infrastructure programme.

What you will be doing
  • Provide commercial leadership and strategic direction across the AMP8 Framework.
  • Ensure compliance with Galliford Try and Thames Water commercial processes and governance.
  • Drive accurate reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement in commercial performance.
  • Act as the key link between senior leadership and delivery teams, promoting collaboration and clear communication.
  • Oversee cash flow, WIP, debt management, and ensure timely, accurate client and subcontractor applications.
  • Lead contract negotiation and administration, ensuring risk is minimised and agreements comply with company policies.
  • Maintain strong client and supply chain relationships to protect reputation and secure future opportunities.
  • Support and develop the commercial team through coaching, mentoring, and targeted training.
About You
  • Proven experience in senior commercial management within large frameworks or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial processes, contract law, and risk management.
