A leading utility services provider in Stevenage is looking for a Commercial Manager to oversee the Commercial Department and project teams. The role involves maximizing profit while minimizing risks across multiple high-value infrastructure projects, particularly in the Electricity Transmission sector. Candidates should have experience managing subcontractors, strong negotiation and communication skills, and be qualified in Quantity Surveying. A full UK driving licence is required for site visits.

Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. This will be based on a National Grid site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
As a Commercial Manager you’ll manage and assist the Commercial Department and project team to maximise profit and reduce risk, providing on hand experience and mentoring. You’ll be responsible for MQS, QS and AQS roles across the portfolio of projects, assisting with the ongoing implementation/integration of commercial acumen and skills with all site personnel whilst developing lasting relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers.
