Overview

Commercial Manager

We have recently met with an exceptional bespoke residential developer in Hampshire, who has a great opportunity for a Commercial Manager for a luxury development they are building in Hampshire.

The Company

Being a privately-owned residential developer specialising in large-scale regeneration and placemaking. Their flagship development in Oxfordshire has delivered 1,200 new homes, schools, retail, and leisure facilities, and they have recently submitted a planning application for a 9,000-home masterplan — one of the largest residential developments in the South of England.

Building on this success, this expanding company will deliver a major regeneration project in Hampshire, which will provide thousands of new homes, extensive green infrastructure, and community facilities. They have various opportunities at different levels of Quantity Surveyor.

Role

This role as Commercial Manager

Seeking an experienced Residential Commercial Manager to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery of the Hampshire scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Managing procurement, contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Producing monthly CVRs and supporting senior management with commercial reporting.
  • Ensuring robust cost control and risk management throughout delivery.
  • Working collaboratively with technical, construction, and development teams.
About you as a Commercial Manager
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor within residential development or regeneration.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and residential procurement.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

This Commercial Manager role offers itself to candidates that have a good main contracting or housing developer background. You will have a good contractual knowledge through Quantity Surveying and may have worked on luxury residential home building before. This Commercial Manager position is for an experienced individual that will report into a board Director.
