Commercial Manager London

A leading international subcontractor with a reputation built on high‑quality bespoke facades and curtain‑walling solutions is seeking an ambitious Commercial Manager to support large‑scale projects across the UK. With over 30 years of experience and an annual turnover exceeding £35m, the company continues to expand globally while delivering innovative facade projects in London.

As a Commercial Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for professionally managing contractual claims, disputes and contract compliance on construction sites around London to protect the company’s interests and optimise financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of construction contracts and ensuring contract compliance on construction sites.
• Identification of deviations, pursuit of contract claims and enforcement of contractual rights on‑site.
• Analysis of contract risks and development of solutions to minimise risks related to construction projects.
• Negotiation of claims and disputes with clients, subcontractors and suppliers on construction sites.
• Preparation of correspondence, contract documents and presentations related to claims and contract management for construction sites.
• Collaboration with internal departments such as project management, legal and finance to ensure effective project execution on‑site.
• Monitoring of deadlines, schedule control and documentation of claim processes on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably with a facade, curtain‑walling or roofing subcontractor.
• Experience working with main contractors or other subcontractors and a demonstrated ability to perform exceptionally well.
• HND Qualification or Degree in Quantity Surveying desirable but not critical.
• Highly motivated, resilient and determined to ‘get things right’.
