Shape Britain’s Energy Future with Sizewell C
Location: London, Suffolk, Bristol
Contract Type: Permanent – Office‑based with hybrid flexibility (typically 2/3 days in office)
Working Pattern: Full time
Closing Date: Friday 9th January 2026
We’re building the future, and we need experienced Commercial Leaders to make it happen. Sizewell C is a once‑in‑a‑generation infrastructure project that will power Britain’s energy security and net‑zero ambitions for decades to come. Following our recent Final Investment Decision, construction is fully green‑lit. This is your chance to be part of the largest investment in home‑grown clean energy in decades, delivering low‑carbon electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
As a Commercial Lead, you’ll take ownership of some of the most significant and complex commercial packages on the project covering civil and nuclear construction works, major equipment, and enabling contracts. You’ll lead procurement, negotiation, and post‑award commercial management, working with suppliers, regulators, and Tier 1 contractors. You’ll play a key leadership role, shaping strategy, mentoring teams, and ensuring delivery aligns with project goals, contract requirements, and nuclear safety standards.
A major infrastructure project with national impact. Hybrid working with flexibility built in. Competitive salary, bonus and benefits. Clear progression and development opportunities. Supportive, collaborative team environment.
Our vision is to Lead The Way On Nuclear. Sizewell C is one of the largest new megaprojects in the UK, building a 3.2‑gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast, replicating the design used for Hinkley Point C. It will generate low‑carbon electricity for at least 60 years, supplying over 6 million homes and supporting about 7% of the UK’s current electricity needs. Sizewell C operates within a complex stakeholder environment, engaging with government bodies, regulators, local communities, supply chain partners, and international collaborators.
We are the first nuclear power station in the UK to be funded under the Regulated Asset Base funding model (RAB). Our largest shareholder is the UK Government, alongside equity partners La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.
We encourage and embrace diversity. It is a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. While sponsorship may be a possibility, we are committed to local recruitment where possible, and those already holding the right to work in the UK. To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
By submitting an application to this role, you acknowledge that you have read and understood Sizewell C’s employee privacy policy and EDF’s employee privacy policy. EDF will be processing and sharing information about your application on behalf of Sizewell C.
