Role at a Glance

Location: Slough Trading Estate, Slough SL1 4AY (some travel required)

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £80,000

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking for regulated and commercial activities
• Analyze cost drivers, asset performance and service delivery metrics to identify efficiency opportunities
• Develop financial models for capital investment, asset lifecycle planning and regulatory submissions
• Support pricing strategies and contract negotiations with commercial clients
• Monitor regulatory compliance impacts on financial performance and advise on mitigation strategies
• Deliver clear actionable insights to non‑finance stakeholders through dashboards and presentations
• Contribute to sustainability and innovation initiatives by evaluating financial viability and ROI

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering ideally within utilities, infrastructure or environmental services
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the water and wastewater industry (e.g. Ofwat, Environment Agency) and their financial implications
• Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools including Microsoft Excel; experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and continuous improvement
