Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute finance professional to support our property services business. This role will play a key part in bridging finance and commercial operations, ensuring robust financial reporting, effective credit control, and proactive cashflow management. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial teams to support applications for payment and provide insightful financial analysis to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Reporting & Reconciliation

• Assist in the preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliations across projects and services.
• Support the production of accurate and timely month-end financial reports.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to validate financial data and ensure consistency between operational and financial reporting.

Cashflow Forecasting & Management

• Prepare and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Monitor actual cash performance against forecasts and provide variance analysis.
• Liaise with credit control to ensure timely collection of receivables and resolution of payment issues.

Commercial Support

• Work closely with commercial teams to support the preparation and submission of applications for payment.
• Ensure alignment between commercial valuations and financial reporting.
• Provide financial insight to support commercial decision-making and contract performance reviews.
• Assist in monitoring customer credit limits and payment terms.
• Support the resolution of aged debt and disputes in collaboration with operational teams.
• Contribute to the development of credit control policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Report key financial metrics and insights to senior leaders, including risks and mitigation strategies.
• Build strong working relationships across finance, commercial, and operational teams.
• Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from leadership.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and cashflow forecasting.
• Experience in a commercial finance or credit control role, ideally within property services or a related sector.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
